Stress Lab Reflection
One of the most stressful times is when my family and I were on vacation in St. Louis. I was short of breath and I felt like I couldn't breath. It wasn't the first time. But this was different. It was worse. My face began tingling and if felt my muscles tensing. My parents decided to take me to the emrgency room. On the way, my hands tensed up and I could barely move them. Also my speech was slurred. I had a panic attack. They perscibed some medicine and told me to visit my doctor at home. I learned from my doctor that I have a anxiety disorder. This was my involentary response to stress. I have since had to learn how to manage my anxiety. I practice breathing and other relaxation techniques. I rarely have panic attacks anymore. I am still learning how to manage stress.
